Prof. Dip Sankar Banerjee is an Associate Professor at IIT Jodhpur since December 2020. He completed his in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad in 2014 was a postdoc at the Ohio State University from 2015-2016. His research interests are broadly in the area of Performance Computing, Computing Systems, Computer Architecture, and Data Analytics.

Prof. Anand Mishra is an esteemed researcher specializing in computer vision, machine learning, and Al at the intersection of vision and language. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of CSE at IIT Jodl where he focuses on advancing scene text recognition, multimodal Al, and knowledge-aware computer vision Before joining IIT Jodhpur, he earned his Ph.D. from IIIT Hyderabad in 2016 and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at IISc Bangalore. His contributions include several peer-reviewed research publications in top-tie conferences such as AAAI, EMNLP, and CVPR. Prof. Mishra has received the Microsoft Academic Partnership Grant (MAPG) and actively serves as a reviewer for leading Al and computer vision conferences.

Does IIT Jodhpur also offer a B.S/B.Sc in Applied AI and Data Science on campus?
There are other BTech and B.S/B.Sc programs available on the campus. However, a program specifically in Applied AI and Data Science is a first and not offered on campus.
Will those enrolled in the program have access to IIT Jodhpur’s campus facilities?
There will be optional campus immersions. These immersions will be for 3-5 days at the IIT campus, every year. There will be additional fees for immersion, accommodation, and food. Other than this, students can always visit the campus and look around.
What are the eligibility criteria for the degree program?
Students must have completed their 12th grade or equivalent education with a minimum of 60% and Mathematics as a mandatory subject.
What is the total tuition for the program?
The total tuition comprises Rs. 1,20,000 per year for four years,
Convocation Fee: ₹3,000 (One-time; to be paid directly to IIT Jodhpur; not included in program fees)
Immersion Fees: ₹4,500 – ₹7,500 (for 3–5 days, including accommodation and food; to be paid directly to IIT Jodhpur; not included in program fees)
Is the program available to students currently in class 12th or equivalent?
The primary eligibility criterion is a passing grade of at least 60% in your 12th or equivalent exams. Additionally, it's essential that Mathematics be a mandatory subject in your 12th-grade curriculum.
Is there an entrance exam for admission?
Yes, Students who have not cleared JEE (Mains) will need to sit for our qualifier exam to meet the eligibility requirements for this program. Upon successfully passing the qualifier exam, students can proceed with their application process seamlessly.
Will I be provided with a physical degree from IIT Jodhpur?
Yes, a physical degree will be provided. This degree will be from IIT Jodhpur.
I am a B. Com Graduate / Lawyer / BSc. Graduate / Mechanical engineer and do not have any knowledge of coding. Does this course cover the basics of coding before progressing to advanced levels?
