Progression is not automatic. Progression is subject to IIT Jodhpur's approval.

What is this programme?
The PG Diploma and Executive M.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence is offered by the Office of Executive Education at IIT Jodhpur. The programme combines Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI and Autonomous Systems to build practical skills for real-world AI applications. The 12-month PG Diploma offers a conditional pathway to an Executive M.Tech. in one additional year.
What will I learn?
You will study AI foundations, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, Generative AI, autonomous systems, AI deployment and professional practice.
Is the programme hands-on?
Yes. The curriculum includes applied AI projects and a capstone that you design, deploy and present for review by IIT Jodhpur faculty.
Who is eligible for the PG Diploma in Artificial Intelligence?
Applicants must hold a BTech, BSc + MSc, BCA + MCA, or a degree in a STEM field, with a minimum of 50% in undergraduate or postgraduate studies and at least 1 year of work experience after their qualifying degree.
Who is eligible for the Executive M.Tech. pathway?
A minimum of 60% in UG, First Division in UG or PG, and 2 years of work experience. In the PG Diploma, you need 75% attendance, no backlogs, a CGPA of 6.0 or above, 60% aggregate marks, and the Program Director's recommendation.
Is there an admission test?
Yes. All applicants must qualify a pre-screening test as part of the admission process.
What is the admission process?
Apply to the programme, qualify the pre-screening test, and pay the ₹10,000 application processing fee. Upon receiving the offer letter from IIT Jodhpur, complete the programme fee payment and the Futurense Bridge Course to proceed.
What is the programme fee?
₹3,55,000 for Year 1 (course fee ₹3,35,000 + administrative fee ₹20,000). The Executive M.Tech. in Year 2 costs ₹2,40,000.
Is the application fee refundable?
It is fully refunded if IIT Jodhpur or Futurense does not accept your application. It is non-refundable if you withdraw after acceptance.

When does the programme start, and how long is it?
The PG Diploma starts in January 2027 (tentative) and runs for 12 months across 2 semesters.
When are classes held?
Live online on Friday late evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays, with 10 to 15 live hours a week. The schedule is set by IIT Jodhpur.
What is the campus immersion?
A mandatory 5 to 7 day stay at IIT Jodhpur, where you present your capstone, attend classes and labs, and work with your cohort.

What will I build?
You will work towards building intelligent applications using machine learning and deep learning, AI-first solutions combining classical ML and Generative AI, autonomous systems using reinforcement learning and multi-agent coordination, scalable AI pipelines and LLM-based applications.
What tools will I use?
TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, OpenAI and Hugging Face. The specific tools may vary by course and project.
What credential will I receive?
You will receive a PG Diploma in Artificial Intelligence from IIT Jodhpur after completing the prescribed academic requirements, including 30 credits, examinations and faculty-assessed work. IIT Alumni Status is subject to applicable requirements.
How does the Executive M.Tech. pathway work?
If you meet the progression requirements, your 30 credits transfer to the Executive M.Tech. You complete 34 more in Year 2, without the GATE exam. For queries, write to office_eep@iitj.ac.in.
