The program is the PG Certificate Program in AI/GenAI Powered Cybersecurity, offered by the Continuing Education Centre (CEC), IIT Roorkee.
The duration is 7–8 months (126+ hours). The first cohort is tentatively scheduled to commence on 31st March 2026.

Minimum 50% in graduation (3-year degree in CS, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields)
1. 1+ year IT experience preferred (support, development, cloud, QA, security, etc.)
2. Must clear the CyberScreener (IGT) test
3. Basic knowledge of Python, networking, and data structures is recommended

No. Programming knowledge is not mandatory, though beneficial. A bridge course covering Python basics, prompt engineering, and AI tools is provided before course commencement.
It includes full-stack security operations, prompt engineering, cloud and container security, and system-level automation using Python, SOAR, and SIEM tools, making it highly relevant for tech professionals.
The program includes live online weekend classes (3 hours each on Saturday and Sunday), labs, hands-on tools, real-world cybersecurity exercises, 2–3 days of online CISSP exam preparation workshops, and an optional 3-day campus immersion at IIT Roorkee.
It is designed for the GenAI era and covers AI-authored malware, SOC automation, LLM security, cloud misconfigurations, and prompt injection using a role-mapped, project-driven approach.
