About the Director

Prof. Laxmidhar Behera | Director, IIT Mandi
He is a distinguished academician in intelligent systems and robotics with over 25 years of experience. Before joining IIT Mandi, he served as the Poonam and Prabhu Goel Chair Professor at IIT Kanpur. His expertise spans robotics, AI control systems, brain-computer interfaces, and warehouse automation, with collaborations worldwide, including ETH Zurich and the University of Texas.

Under his leadership, IIT Mandi is strengthening its interdisciplinary vision, preparing future technologists who can deploy AI where it matters most.

About Head of CCE

Dr. Tushar Jain, serving as an Associate Professor and the Dean of Students at IIT Mandi, earned his Ph.D. in Control, Identification, and Diagnostic from Université de Lorraine, France. His research focuses on mathematical control theory, fault-tolerant control, and climate-controlled agriculture. Dr. Jain leads the Centre for Continuing Education at IIT Mandi, where he emphasizes the importance of equipping students with practical AI skills.
