What You'll Do

You'll be responsible for creating engaging short-form video content for social media while supporting the broader video production team.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Editing and repurposing long-form masterclass recordings into short, engaging social media clips.
  • Adding captions, motion text, transitions, and basic colour grading to enhance video quality.
  • Assisting senior video editors with longer-format production advertisements.
  • Organising project files and exporting videos in the correct formats for different platforms.
  • Staying up to date with trending video formats, editing styles, and social media reels while proactively sharing creative references.
  • Editing short-form content for:
    • Instagram Reels
    • YouTube Shorts

What They're Looking For

The ideal candidate is passionate about video editing and has a strong understanding of short-form content.

They should have:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
  • Knowledge of CapCut is an added advantage for quick edits.
  • A showreel or portfolio showcasing edited videos, including personal, freelance, or college projects.
  • A strong eye for pacing, timing, and storytelling in short-form videos.
  • An understanding of what makes viewers stop scrolling, especially within the first 3 seconds of a reel.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment with quick turnaround times.

Bonus points for:

  • Basic motion graphics skills.
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects.

Preferred Skills

Candidates with the following skills will have an advantage:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
  • Familiarity with CapCut for quick edits.
  • A strong showreel or portfolio of edited videos, including personal, freelance, or academic work.
